Test learning, do not only consume it
Reading, watching, or listening can introduce a topic, but they do not by themselves show that you can recall or use it later. After a short learning segment, look away from the source and explain the main idea, solve a problem, or write what you remember. Then check and correct.
Return after time has passed
Important learning can become more durable when practice is distributed instead of compressed into one long session. Revisit the material after a delay and try to retrieve it before looking. The exact schedule should fit the material, goal, and learner rather than becoming a rigid formula.
Use Plan → Do → Review
Before a session, define the target and how you will test it. During the session, notice whether you are actively working or only following along. Afterward, test yourself, compare with the source, and decide what to keep, change, or stop next time.
Protect attention with a small focused block
Choose one task, prepare only the tools you need, reduce avoidable notifications and tab switching, and work for a manageable focused period. Short, repeatable blocks are often more useful than long sessions filled with interruption.
Treat errors as information
When something goes wrong, record the error, identify why your earlier approach seemed right, and practice a corrected example. The goal is not to collect scores or judge intelligence; it is to make the next attempt better informed.
Start small enough to continue
A learning system is useful only if it can be repeated. Choose a realistic minimum practice block, attach it to a workable routine, and review what you actually accomplished. Consistency matters more than designing a perfect plan that you cannot sustain.
Recovered source depth is uneven—and that matters
The recovered Level 00 source contains the complete 25-chapter manual structure plus appendices. The later Level 01 source materially expands Chapters 1–7—Foundations, Metacognition, Focus, and Memory/Retrieval—but does not itself contain a complete expanded version of all 25 chapters. DEPTH-01 preserves that lineage instead of treating the deeper partial source as a complete second edition.
