Recovered historical report
After the conquest of Makkah and victory at Hunayn, Arab tribes realised that Muhammad ﷺ was the dominant power. Delegations came from all over Arabia to pledge allegiance. This year was called “The Year of Delegations” (‘Am al-Wufud). Among them were the delegations of Banu Tamim, Banu Hanifah (including the future false prophet Musaylimah), Banu ‘Abd al-Qays, Banu Najran (Christians), and many others. The Prophet ﷺ received each delegation, taught them Islam, and sent them back as teachers to their people.
