Recovered historical report
The Jewish tribe of Banu Nadir, expelled from Madinah, settled in Khaibar. Their leaders, including Huyayy bin Akhtab, went to Makkah and persuaded the Quraish to attack Madinah. They also convinced Ghatafan and other tribes. A massive confederate army (Ahzab) of 10,000 men assembled. The Quraish brought 4,000, Ghatafan 6,000. The Jews of Banu Qurayzah, still in Madinah, were secretly approached to betray the Muslims. The Prophet ﷺ received news of the impending invasion. He consulted his Companions. Salman al-Farsi suggested digging a trench (khandaq) around Madinah’s unprotected northern side, a tactic unfamiliar to the Arabs.

meUus working lesson
The Prophet ﷺ was open to new ideas, even from a former slave. Salman’s Persian strategy saved Madinah. Wisdom has no nationality.
A lesson is not the same as historical fact or a religious ruling.
Reflection / For Today
Listen to good ideas regardless of who presents them. Arrogance rejects truth based on the messenger’s status.
Deeper revisit — recovered working copy
Reminder: The Jews of Banu Nadir had vowed to destroy the Prophet. They used their wealth to unite the enemies.
Revisit context: Enemies of Islam often unite despite their differences. Muslims must be even more united.
Working reflection: The trench was a brilliant defensive strategy. The Muslims did not have the numbers to fight 10,000 in open battle.
Working practical step: Seek advice from someone you normally would not consult. You might learn something valuable.
Journey reflection: The confederates thought they had surrounded Madinah. They did not know that Allah was surrounding them.
