The Prophet ﷺ would regularly withdraw to the Cave of Hira on Mount Noor, taking provisions, and spend days and nights in worship and reflection. This was before any revelation. He was troubled by the corruption of Makkah and sought the truth. This seclusion was a preparation for the heavy responsibility to come. Allah was training him through solitude and contemplation.
