Recovered historical report
The Prophet ﷺ announced that he would perform Hajj. Over 100,000 Muslims joined him. He taught them the rituals step by step, saying, “Take your rituals from me.” On the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, at ‘Arafah, he delivered his final sermon. He said: “O people, listen to my words. Your lives, your property, and your honour are sacred. All usury of the pre-Islamic era is abolished. All blood feuds are abolished. Fear Allah regarding women. You have rights over them, and they have rights over you. I leave behind two things: the Book of Allah and my Sunnah. If you hold to them, you will never go astray.” He then asked, “Have I conveyed?” The crowd replied, “Yes.” He said, “O Allah, bear witness.”
