Recovered historical report
The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Quba’, a village on the outskirts of Madinah, on Monday, 12 Rabi‘ al-Awwal. He stayed with the Banu ‘Amr bin ‘Awf for 14 days. He built the Masjid of Quba’, the first masjid in Islam. He personally carried bricks and worked alongside the Sahaba. The foundation was laid on piety, and Allah later revealed: “A masjid founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in.” (9:108). Praying two rak‘ahs in Masjid Quba’ is equivalent to an ‘Umrah.
