How to Earn · module 02

Skill → problem → value → evidence

An earning claim is stronger when it connects a demonstrable skill to a real problem and a bounded offer. DEPTH-02 focuses on evidence of capability rather than identity labels such as 'expert' or 'professional' without scope.

Choose a problem you can responsibly help with

A skill becomes economically useful only in context. Ask who has a real need and whether your current capability can help within a clear scope. Avoid selecting high-stakes professional problems merely because demand appears high.

Build a proof artifact

Create a work sample, portfolio piece, demo, supervised result, case note, test project, or other artifact that shows what you can actually do. Label demos and self-created examples honestly; do not make them look like paid client outcomes.

Qualification boundary

A portfolio can demonstrate skill, but it does not create a regulated licence, professional credential, legal authority, clinical competence, tax qualification, religious authority, or other protected status. State the boundary when the domain requires it.

Improve one skill from real feedback

Use job requirements, user/customer feedback, supervised review, failed attempts, test results, or comparable real work to decide what skill gap matters next. Do not learn only what feels impressive.

Reflection

Questions to sit with

  1. What real problem does this skill help solve?
  2. What artifact can prove my current capability without overclaim?
  3. What am I explicitly not qualified to offer?

One safe next action

Complete the Skill → Value → Evidence Sheet and create one small proof artifact.
