Weekly checkpoint: review the record before rewriting the plan

The recovered manual method says to count what happened first, ask whether the action was too big, vague, badly timed, unsafe or no longer a priority, then change one variable where possible.

Record before story

Look at Done, Partial, Skipped, Reset, Pause and Stop states before explaining them. A difficult week may have several causes; the first job is to see the record without turning it immediately into a character judgment.

Ask whether the design—not the person—needs adjustment

Was the action too large? Too vague? Poorly timed? Missing support? Outside current capacity? No longer connected to the real need? These questions keep Journey from turning every miss into a willpower story.

Change one variable where possible

The recovered Level 01 method specifically recommends changing one variable at a time—size, time, or trigger—rather than rebuilding the whole plan weekly. DEPTH-07 extends that carefully to evidence method, support, or boundary when needed.

Rest and review are part of disciplined continuation

The later First-90-Days project chapter explicitly includes weekly review and rest. A Journey that cannot pause for judgment, recovery of context or capacity can become another overload system.

Reflection

Questions to sit with

  1. What does the record say before I explain it?
  2. Which one variable would make next week more truthful or workable?
  3. Should I continue, pause, reset, stop, or seek qualified help?

One safe next action

Complete the Weekly Journey Checkpoint and change at most one main variable.
